SADIE QUINN BAKER ~A Video by ELHAS

Sadie Quinn Baker from Every Life Has A Story

Becky & Zak lost their first born child, Sadie Quinn, on July 10th, 2010 due to pre-eclampsia & HELLP syndrome at 24 weeks pregnant.

Hummingbirds remind me of my Sadie~tiny, gorgeous, and perfect! I was nearly kissed on my cheek by one my first week home from the hospital as I sat on my proch, there began my love for humming birds! I particularly love the ones with green on them as I imagine Sadie would have had green eyes like her daddy and myself!!

About us

Neither one of us can really remember how it was we actually met, but our history starts with Zak's parents and my grandparents.

Then it continues on with my parents and his parents.

Eventually we met as children, when our families got together.  We were probably 10 years old.  We just "knew" each other, but didn't really develop a friendship until we were 16.  Don't remember how it happened, but instantly we were best friends at age 16.

We were there for each other through my boyfriends, his girlfriends, his college, my move to Hawaii....  And there is where something happened.

Hawaii!  2001!  Zak came to visit me in Hawaii with his two brothers for a few weeks.  We went explored the island I lived on, Oahu, went island hopping to Kauai, took a helicopter ride, snorkeled, you get the picture.  Time came for Zak to fly home, but it was a more tearful goodbye than normal.  Something was different and I wouldn't know what it was until a week later when I checked my e-mail and found a long e-mail from Zak telling me how his feelings had developed into more than just friends!   I was blown away...and living in Hawaii!  Timing just didn't seem work in our favor at that moment.

Our friendship though stayed in tact and we continued to be there for each other for whatever came our way, until....  March of 2004, three years later, something just clicked.  I don't recall how it went, but we decided it was time, enough of it already!  We loved each other, more than just friends!  Yet, we each still had things to take care of before we could truly be together.  So we did!  Zak doing what he needed, and I moved to Mexico!

The time came at long last in May of 2005!  We were married October 2, 2005 at a lovely inn on Cape Cod, MA along Route 6A in Brewster.

Thus began the rest of our lives...
